Adam Glass Obituary

Adam Hill Glass, age 84, of Allison Park, formerly of Coraopolis. Passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2025. Born the son of the late Samuel R. and Mary McBride Glass. He was the beloved brother of Anne Elizabeth Glass, Jean Pykus (Mike Hoover) and the late Robert J. (late Nancy) Glass and William J. Glass. Dear uncle of Lynn Anne (Joe) Siegler, Todd Robert Pykus, Robert J. (Janet) Glass, Marguerite Glass and the late Karen Shaw. He was also survived by great nieces and nephews. Adam attended the Moon Area High School and in his early years lived in Coraopolis. For many years, he proudly worked within the Achieva vocational support program, and living independently. Jean states, he was “comfortable in his own skin”, starting everyday putting a smile on his face, ready to take on the world. He accepted everyone just as they are, and was thankful for new experiences, taking a bus ride through downtown, taking car rides, going out to restaurants for a meal, steak and apple pie, being his favorites! Adam lived a great life on his own terms! He was always ready to go, trips, shopping, eating, going anywhere. He eventually moved to North Hills. He and his 3 roommates had a special bond, looking out for each other. He told his sister, Jean once that one of his roommates became sick and he introduced him to God and said that he told God that he was a good guy and that he would vouch for him and please take him home. Adam was a great guy who had unconditional love for everyone. He was easy-going and enjoyed watching his favorite TV shows including Westerns, Maury Povich and Steve Wilco, and he loved taking care of his fish, which was no small feat in a 60-gallon tank! He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.  Friends are invited to a Memorial Service on Friday, February 7, 2025, at 11 am in the New Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, 183 New Bethlehem Church Rd, Aliquippa, PA 15001. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Achieva, 711 Bingham Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15203.  Arrangements entrusted to R. D. Copeland, Ltd., Coraopolis.
