It is with profound sorrow that we return our own personal piece of the sun to the heavens. Abby passed away suddenly at the age of 21, just one day after celebrating her milestone birthday. Abby was a beacon of joy, kindness, and limitless potential. Her laughter danced through the hearts of all who knew her, and her kindness knew no bounds.
Her departure leaves a void that cannot be filled, a symphony silenced too early. Yet, in the brief time she graced this world, she left an indelible mark of love and compassion. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the hearts she healed, and the smiles she ignited.
Abby is survived by her loving parents Mickey and Melissa Lonkert, her two sisters Ashley (Adam) Griffith and Heather (Anthony) DeFranco, her niece and nephew, Ronan and Lyra, her grandparents Walter and Brenda Laird, her grandmother Barbara Kuhl, and her numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her grandfather, George Kuhl.
With her vivacious personality and boundless energy, Abby lived life furiously, leaving behind a trail of joy and laughter wherever she went. Her love for dogs (especially Ellie) was unparalleled, her heart swelling for every furry friend she encountered. She found solace in the comedic stylings of Pete Davidson, and her admiration for Ariana Grande knew no bounds. She loved and cherished all her friends deeply, especially her second family at Ichiban.
Though her physical presence may be gone, her spirit remains eternally vibrant in the memories we hold dear. In the words of J.K. Rowling, “But know this; the ones that love us never really leave us.” Let us honor her by carrying forward her spirit of empathy, her zest for life, and her unwavering love. May she find peace in the embrace of angels, forever young and forever loved.
