William C. Harbaugh, Jr.

William C. Harbaugh, Jr., passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on Tuesday, August 13, 2019. He was just two days shy of his 71st birthday, August 15, 1948, born in Pittsburgh, the son of Grace Despot and the late William C. Harbaugh, Sr. Beloved husband for 50 years to Rachel (Palermo) Harbaugh. They made their home in Moon Township and raised their two loving children here, Anthony William (Kelly) Harbaugh and Natalie Ann (fiancé Jonathan Shutak) Hughes all of Moon Township. Bill loved his grandkids, Samantha, Matthew, Ryan and Ricky. Bill worked 23 years for Allegheny Freight Lines, Inc. as their dispatcher. He was a great mechanic, carpenter and knew how to fix everything, a skill he passed to his children. Bill was a great husband, father and grandfather. Bill always loved to laugh, something his family will always cherish. Visitation Thursday 2-4, 6-8 at Copeland’s Moon Township, 981 Brodhead Rd. where service will be held on Friday at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in his name to St. Jude’s children’s Research Hospital. Bill’s family would like to thank Vitas Hospice for the kind and loving care. Their support was immeasurable.
