Warren D. Pifer, age 84, a life-long resident of Moon, passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley Beaver. Warren was born in Sewickley on April 12, 1934 to the late Clifford and Elma Pifer. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rose Marie (Sporrer) Pifer. In addition to his parents and spouse, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter Sidney and brothers Emil, Clifford and Auggie. Father of Allen (Barb) Pifer of Moon Township, Patty Pifer of Columbiana, OH, Debbie Neugebauer of Neville Island and Wayne (Andrea) Pifer of Raccoon Township; grandfather of Greg, “Mel”, Andrew, Audrey (Justin), Elizabeth, Heather, Ronnie (Ashley), Leighann, Dalton, and Alec; also, many loving nieces, nephews and great grandchildren. Warren served his community well as a member of the Moon Township Road Department for 40 years and a life-member of the Moon Township Volunteer Fire Department. He also was an avid hunter and fisherman. Warren’s signature was his Black Stetson hat. Visitation Thursday 4-8 PM (Fraternal Service by Moon Township Vol. Fire Dept. at 7 PM) at Copeland’s Moon Township, 981 Brodhead Rd. where service will be held on Friday at 11 AM, Rev. Larry Mort will officiate. Burial will follow in Hopewell Hebron Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations in his name to Good Samaritan Hospice of Heritage Valley Beaver.
