Vera Pauline Hamilton, age 95, of Dallas, Texas and formerly a resident of Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, Kennedy Township, and Moon Township died April 20th in Dallas. She is predeceased by her husband, Robert William Hamilton, her brother, Vlada Dostal, and her parents, Pauline and Anton Dostal of Coraopolis.
Mrs. Hamilton was a 1941 graduate of Coraopolis High School and Robert Morris Business College.
In high school, Vera was a proud member of the National Honor Society an accomplishment no one else in the family achieved. Vera was a home maker, mother, grandmother and an avid bridge player. For many years she divided her time between Coraopolis and her home in Clearwater, Florida. She is a life- long member of Mount Calvary United Presbyterian Church of Coraopolis. Her passion was floral arranging and she won many awards with local garden clubs both in Pennsylvania and Florida. In 2005 she moved from Moon Township to be closer to her family in Texas. For the past thirteen years she lived at Monticello West an assisted living complex. She is survived by her sons, Todd Hamilton (wife Kathleen) of Dallas, son, Bill Hamilton, of Berkeley California, and four grandchildren, Ian of Washington DC, Andrew of Dallas, and Lauren, and Cade of Berkeley, California. Viewing will be held at the Copeland’s Coraopolis, 867 Fifth Avenue on Wednesday 6-8 Pm where a service will be held on Thursday at 1:00 PM. Interment to follow at the Coraopolis Cemetery.
