Teresa J. (Lang) Lavery

Teresa Jean (Lang) Lavery joined her father, Andy, Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018. She is survived by her mother, Doris; her daughter, Madeline; her husband of 28 years, Bob; her brothers, Andy (Mark), Greg, Al (Margaret), Dave, Thom (Brigette) and Jeff (Mary-Beth); sisters, Nancy, Linda, Sherri (Richard), Nett (Wayne), Carol and Kathy; 23 nieces and nephews; and by countless friends. She was a graduate of Edinboro University and a sister of Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority. After graduation, she worked as a flight attendant, as a sub at the Quaker Valley School District and, for the past five years, at the Sewickley Public Library. In addition to her love for travel, nature, yoga and cats, she most enjoyed spending time with friends and family. Teresa was a giving person, even in death as an organ donor. In lieu of flowers, she would have appreciated helping people, and in her life supported the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and the Light of Life Mission. A remembrance gathering will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 9, at COPELAND FUNERAL HOME, 702 Beaver St., Sewickley. A church service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 10, at Sacred Heart Church, 154 Orchard Ave., Emsworth.
