Samuel J. Porto

Samuel J. Porto, age 80, of McKees Rocks/Carnegie, passed peacefully on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Baldwin Health Center. He was born in Mt. Holly, NJ on April 27, 1938 to the late Joseph and Margaret Porto. He married the love of his life on February 4, 1957, Kathryn (Vetter) Porto. They had 61 beautiful years of marriage. In addition to his wife, he was the loving father of Kathy (Ray) Viccaro, Debbie (Rich) Albert, Sammy (Brenda) Porto, Kris (Dave) Gill, Gary (Dawn) Porto and Bradd (Heather) Porto; brother of Toni Wainwright and Allen Porto; cherished grandfather of 14 and great grandfather of 10. Sam was a faithful member of First Christian Church of Carnegie, proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1955-1960, repaired appliances, had a great personality and enjoyed fishing. Please meet at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies on Wednesday at 11 AM for his committal service and military honors.
