Ruth E. McConkey age 95 of Coraopolis since 1940’s passed away No. 3, 2017 at her home with her family at her side. She was born in Charleroi Dec. 10, 1921 to the late Edith Kelly and John Rigby. Ruth was a Draftsman with H. H. Robertson Co., a member of St. Joseph Church where she was a Christian Mother, she was a wonderful mother and homemaker. She was the wife of the late Warren M. McConkey who died on June 28, 1998 also was predeceased by a grandson; James. Ruth is survived by her children; Michael (Dolores) McConkey of Savannah GA., Ruth Anne (Thomas) Sylvester of Carnegie, John (Pam) McConkey of Coraopolis, James (the Late Kimberly) McConkey of Coraopolis, Elizabeth (the Late Thomas) Chandler of Moon Twp., Kathleen LaManna of Ohio a sister; Margaret Hetzer of Coraopolis, also 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren survive. Friends will be received Monday 2-4 & 6-8pm at the Copeland Coraopolis Funeral Home, 867 Fifth Ave. where prayers will be recited on Tuesday at 9am followed by a 9:30am Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church.
