Phyllis Grimshaw Obituary

Phyllis A. Grimshaw, age 97, of Bellevue, passed away on Friday , June 1 2018. She was the wife of the late G.E. Grimshaw Jr. whom she missed for many years and was also preceded in death by parents John and Frances (Scherzer) Armstrong and sisters Grace Heppenstall and Jean Krepps. She is survived by children George, John and Mary (Donovan), and nieces and nephews. She was an executive secretary before becoming a wonderful mother. Her last words were not of herself but rather her children whom she loved to the very end. She was an artistic soul who could play the piano, draw, and make the most beautiful quilts and embroidery. She was an avid fan of Pittsburgh sports and a connoisseur of classical music and literature. She had a soft spot for stray cats, a number of which found their way into her home. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no visitation or services and internment will be private. The family wishes to thank the Good Samaritan Hospice of Wexford for their compassion and kindness in mom’s last days. Arrangements by Copeland Funeral Homes.
