Paul S. Niehenke, age 70, of Moon Township, passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Allegheny General Hospital. Born at home in Home, PA on May 4, 1946, he was the son of the late Eugene Wesley and Ethel (Hochard) Niehenke. Beloved husband for 45 years to Patricia (Severin) Niehenke; loving father of Rita (Brian) Foley of Ben Avon; proud Pappy to Nick, MacKenzie, Ben, Mia, Mason and Liam; brother of Emma Sesock of Indiana, PA and the late Ethel Black, Kennard and James Niehenke; also many loving nieces and nephews. Paul faithfully attended St. James Church with his family and had served on the board of Clearview Credit Union. He was a graduate of Indiana High School, Indiana, PA. He obtained both his B.S. and M.S. in Education from California State University and was near completion of his PhD at Ohio State University.Paul was a member of Epsilon Pi Tau Honor Fraternity for The Technology Profession during his time at Califronia State University. Paul taught Industiral Technology for Hopewell Junior High School for 43 years. He as a selfless man always putting others first and he will be remembered as the greatest Pappy. A Memorial Mass followed by a luncheon will be held at St. James Church on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 10 AM with Father Thomas Burke as Celebrant. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations in his name to St. James School, 200 Walnut St., Sewickley, PA 15143 or Asbury Foundation Asbury Heights, 700 Bower Hill Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15243.
