Patricia A. "Patty" Pugh
Welcomed home with Jesus, passed away on Friday, February 02, 2018. Patty was born October 10, 1942, the first twin to Mary Pauline (Egan) and Robert F. Moore in Sewickley, PA. Preceding her in death were her parents, a son David J. Pugh, a great grandson Neil Janeda, sister Denise Moore, beautiful daughter Paula J. Cole, granddaughter Stacey Pugh Janeda.
Patty was employed as Neville Crossing Guard for both Neville and Cornell for 7 years, worked at Gino’s on Neville Island and finally at Cornell School District for 28 years where she retired in 2005.
Patty loved decorating. Seasonal Name Designs on each Teacher’s door, sending cards on all occasions to everyone. She worked as co-chairman under Joan Wharton for Salvation Army – Toys for Tots, Angel Tree, Camp Allegheny, and Kettle Drives along with her daughter Paula.
Patty enjoyed singing in the church choir, cross stitching Blankets for all new babies and was especially proud of being called "Nunnie" by everyone. Her motto was "to make someone smile once a day – this was her favorite accomplishment- her greatest grift to herself and others.
Blessed with her precious children: Thomas and Lore Pugh of Youngstown, OH, Michael "Spike" and Jennifer Pugh of Neville Island, Leslie and David Bane of Moon Run; son-in-law Philip Cole and daughter-in-law Rita Pugh both of Neville Island’ her cherished grandchildren: Bryan (Nikki), John, Sarah, Darrin (Jamiee), Chelsae, Jenna, Michael, Katie (Mike), Amy, Thomas, Kristen (Darek), Lizzy (Scott), Ashley; plus 11 great grandchildren. A sister and best Friend Diane Kowalewski of Glenshaw, PA, a twin brother Robert "Mort" & Jill Moore of Neville Island; very special dear friends Katie DiVito and Judy McEachern and Olive Hinzman sister-in-law. Plus, many nieces and nephews and blessed friends (THANKS TO ALL OF YOU)
Patty was a member of St. Mary’s in Glenfield.
Our loss is God’s gain-as we lose our Angel, God received her with open arms in her garden of love.
Visitation Tuesday 2-8 at Copeland’s Coraopolis, 867 Fifth Ave. where service will be held on Wednesday at 10 AM. Entombment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Neville Island Fire Dept., 5300 Grand Ave., Neville Island, PA 15225 or to a Hospice Association or since Pat loved and collected blankets, please bring one of your blankets in memory of Pat and the family will donate to a cancer unit in her name.
