Norma Marie Veronica (Weber) Otto, born July 11, 1925, entered Eternal Life on Divine Mercy Sunday, April 8, 2018.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Richard Otto, sisters Shirley Sable and Marilyn McCann, brother Jack Weber (and Marsha), her parents, John and Teresa Weber, nephews, Robert Sable, Jr., Thomas McCann, Jr. and six grandchildren.
Norma is the beloved Mother to Cynthia Horne, Sharon Elmquist, Patricia (William) Brown, Carol (Thomas) Nypaver, and Teresa (Mark) Penberthy. She had 19 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
She enjoyed successful careers at Bell Telephone and the original Greater Pittsburgh International Airport in addition to her vocation as wife/mother. Throughout her life, she assisted others in numerous volunteer capacities, including hand-copying classical books to braille for the blind, information desk at Sewickley Valley Hospital, clerical work for the Felician Sisters, and Coraopolis Meals on Wheels. She lived her Catholic Faith to the fullest as a Christian Mother, Catechism instructor, daily Communicant, Eucharistic Adorer and Pro-Life advocate.
Visitation Wednesday 6-8 at Copeland’s Moon Township, 981 Brodhead Rd. where prayers will be recited on Thursday at 10:50 AM followed by Mass at 11:30 AM at St. Joseph Church. Father Michael Caridi, celebrant. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to Mother Teresa Missionaries of Charity, 335 E. 145th St., Bronx, NY 10451.
