Myrna E. (Bostaph) Sommerer, age 77, a resident most of her life of Historic Mooncrest, passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at Kane Regional Center in Scott Township. She was born in Kane, PA on August 28, 1940, one of five to the late Joseph and Emma Mae (Sullivan) Bostaph. Myrna was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Sommerer and her brother, Joe Bostaph. Myrna was a 1959 graduate of Moon Area High School and a member of the Assembly of God. Myrna was considered a Mother to many, never let a child go hungry and always willing to help others in need. She will be remembered as “forever young”. Beloved mother of Matthew Bostaph and wife Carol and their son; Chase of Ingram and Andrea Lynn Bostaph of the North Side; , proud grandmother and “Mema” to James Bayer and wife Casey, Gregor Goins and Amber Newsom; great grandmother to Zack, Airanna, Shiann, Kadence, Wyatt and Gracie; cherished sister of Daniel Bostaph and wife Nancy of Moon Township, David Bostaph and wife Patty of Crescent and Eric Bostaph and wife Donna of Hopewell, her nieces and nephews, Christopher Bostaph, Janine Tarsavage, Erica Bostaph, Scott Bostaph and Mark Bostaph. Memorial visitation Sunday (March 18) from 12:30 PM until time of Memorial Service at 1:30 PM at Copeland’s Coraopolis, 867 Fifth Ave. Rev. Wayne Jackson will officiate. Myrna always said, I need to go home (meaning to take care of her mother) will be buried privately at Resurrection Cemetery with her parents. Her wish to go home, fulfilled.
