Michael "Lee" Kephart, 74, passed away peacefully at home in Coraopolis on October 5, 2019 with his family by his side. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 53 years, Delores "Dorie" Horvath Kephart, and his girls, Tracy Kephart Lash (Adam) and Leanne George (Jason). Three grandchildren adored their Pappy and thought he was the funniest man in the world: Nicole George, Jason George, Jr., and Stefan Michael Lash. Born in Crescent Township on May 12, 1945 to the late Herman and Claire Schultz Kephart, Lee spent most of his life in Coraopolis where he owned Kephart Masonry and was a proud and respected craftsman for over 50 years. He was preceded in death by siblings Donald Kephart, Richard Kephart and Jean Kephart Maxin and is survived by his brother Allen Kephart (Kay), his sister Joyce Kephart (Karen) and many nieces, nephews and friends. Lee enjoyed relaxing at his camp and on his boat, fishing, spending time with family and friends, a good game of poker, and every cowboy movie ever made. An avid cook, he perfected steaks, walleye, marinara, and peanut butter fudge - and was a generous man who always made enough for his family, friends, and whomever happened to be walking by. He never retired a good joke and looked forward to every tomorrow because he got better and better looking every day. Family will receive friends Tuesday, October 8 from 2-4 pm and 6-9 pm at the Copeland Coraopolis Funeral Home, 867 Fifth Ave., where a Service will be held Wednesday at 11 am followed by burial in Coraopolis Cemetery.
