Mary Ann I. Klussmann
Mary Ann Irvine Klussmann, 75, died Feb. 6, 2018 at Masonic Village, Sewickley.
She was born March 22, 1942 in Sewickley to the late Dallas S. and Barbara H. Irvine. She was married for 34 years to the late Frederick J. "Tex" Klussmann.
She was a graduate of Quaker Valley High School and Westminster College and had a master’s degree from Duquesne University. She taught at Bethel Park High School, but her long-time passion was fiber arts, especially quilting. She had quilts displayed in almost every state plus Australia and she taught quilting at Butler County Community College, Allegheny Community College, and the Sawmill in Cook Forest, as well as holding her own classes for many years. She was a member of the Fiber Arts Guild of Pittsburgh and was a strong supporter of the Pittsburgh Foundation and Westminster College. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Sewickley, where she sang in the choir and was church secretary for a number of years.

Survivors include a sister, Louise Irvine Pierce of York, Pa.; and two nieces, Margaret Frantz of Hightstown, N.J., and Susan Pierce-Mills of Philadelphia.
Visitation Thursday (Feb. 8) 6-8 PM at Copeland’s Sewickley, 702 Beaver St. Funeral Service will be held on Friday (Feb. 9) at 11 AM at St. Paul’s, with burial to follow in Sewickley Cemetery.
