As a young child I could not comprehend that Aunt Mary, so dear to me, was not my mother's sister (she was married to Uncle Ed, mom's beloved brother). Aunt Mary was such a source of security and love, always present in good times and bad. Although her work ethic is one I've attempted to emulate my entire life, she always had time for a visit and a chat. I have countless fond memories at her kitchen table savoring her culinary delights. She was a fountain of support, knowledge, and good advice. She filled many gaps in my family history, and who can forget her unfiltered political opinions!
Aunt Mary raised 5 of the finest people I know.
Thank you Aunt Mary for always being there. God bless and may you rest in peace.

Aunt Mary, also my Godmother. Your passing is sad because we'll miss you, but I know that you're with my mom and with Jesus. So, I'm sure you're so happy right now. There's a big reunion going on. I can imagine all the chattering. And if there's food that's needed you'll give the angels the recipes, maybe oversee it all because they're amateurs. You and mom. Feeding everyone. :) What a time!
