Mary (Pribish) Yakima, age 92, a life-long resident of the Coraopolis/Moon area, formerly of Avella, passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley Beaver. She was one of seven born to the late John and Anna (Buchosh) Pribish. On February 17, 1983, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Edward A. Yakima whom she married on August 8, 1942. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her six siblings. Beloved mother of August (the late Patricia) Yakima, Catherine (Kevin) Weaver, Edward (Susan) Yakima, Christine Ciccone and David (Patricia) Yakima; proud grandmother of 14 and 12 great grandchildren. Mary was a life-long member of St. Margaret Mary Church. She had retired from Gladieaux. Mary and her husband enjoyed going to the Coraopolis Sportsman Club where they shot bow and arrow. Mary loved to cook and bake, her specialty being rolled cabbage, nut rolls and nut horns. Visitation Sunday 2-4, 6-8 at Copeland’s Moon Township, 981 Brodhead Rd. where prayers will be recited on Monday at 9:30 AM followed by Mass at St. Margaret Mary Church at 10 AM. Father Frank Kurimsky, celebrant. Burial will follow in Coraopolis Cemetery.
