Mark C. Benedict

Mark C. Benedict, age 67, of Coraopolis, formerly of Edgewood, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 surrounded by the love of his family at Good Samaritan Hospice House. He was born in Mt. Pleasant, PA on May 27, 1951, one of three sons to the late John and Fay (Bailey) Benedict. Beloved fiancé of Cathy Stone; loving father of Chris Benedict of New York and the late Justin Benedict; cherished brother of John Benedict of Shaler and Tim (Linda) Benedict of Edgewood; and former spouse Shirley Benedict of Sewickley. Mark was a 1969 graduate of Edgewood High School who loved music. Growing up in the 50`s-60`s, everyone seemed to be a part of a garage band. Mark was lead singer for his. After high school, he went on to work 35 years for U.S. Airways. He loved camping, being outdoors, collecting antiques and attending garage sales. He was a 32nd degree mason and member of F & AM Doric Lodge #630 and the Scottish Rite. Mark, caring and respectful, always had a strong sense of family. He will be missed greatly by his family and many friends. Visitation Friday 4-8 PM with Masonic Service at 7:30 PM at Copeland`s Coraopolis, 867 Fifth Ave. where a Blessing Service will be held on Saturday at 11 AM followed by burial at Coraopolis Cemetery.
