Margaret "Peg" A. (Kadlick) Cisar, age 96, a life-long resident of Moon Township, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Heritage Valley Sewickley. She was born in Moon Township on June 17, 1921 one of four to the late Joseph and Marie "Mary" (Vejchodska) Kadlick. On January 31, 1943, she married Francis J. Cisar who died on August 24, 2003. Their union brought two wonderful daughters, Cheryl Cardwell (Richard) of Tucson, AZ and Patricia Devlin (Martin) of Newtown, PA. Peg’s family has continued to grow with three grandsons: Brandon Cardwell (Rachel), Justin Cardwell (Kelly) and Patrick Devlin; five great grandchildren: Logan, Lucy & Lena Cardwell and Samantha Kamataris & Sanja Cardwell. In addition to her parents and husband, she preceded in death by sisters Vera Clingenpeel and Lydia Serych and brother, Rudy Kadlick. Peg was a member of St. Margaret Mary Church and had been a tailor from 1969-1991 at Teddy’s Cleaners. Peg had a deep appreciation of nature that was instilled into her daughters. Peg, Cheryl and Patti would walk Montour Trail, enjoying not only the camaraderie and exercise but the beauty of nature and all the birds. Peg loved to feed the birds and work in her flower garden. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Penn State Nittany Lions Fan. Peg requested cremation. A memorial service will be held later to celebrate her life.
