Louis B. Bubenheim, 85, of Crescent since 1966, passed away at West Hills Health and Rehab on Sunday, June 2, 2019. Born on the family farm in Kennedy Township on Jan. 26, 1934, he was the son of the late Jacob John and Cecelia Barbara (Herpst) Bubenheim. Louis is survived by his wife Jean (Meek) Bubenheim; daughter Barbara Husvar; stepchildren Keith Rundquist (Brenda), Douglas Rundquist and David Rundquist; grandchildren Zach Husvar, Teresa Husvar, Jessica (Angelo) Sestili, Bailey (Steve) Weir, Bradley and Michelle Rundquist; great grandchildren Enzo and Emma Rose; sister Philomena Bichler. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Janice Marie Bubenheim and siblings Dan, Betty, Eleanor, Joe, John and Bill. Louis retired in 1993 from U.S. Airways. He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1955-1957. Louis was a member of St. Catherine of Siena and Crescent Seniors. Louis jokingly referred to being born in a cabbage patch. In all seriousness, he was a farmer through and through, loving to work the land with his hands and took pride and joy in his garden filled with tomatoes. Louis and Jean loved to travel all over the United States and parts of Canada. Visitation Wednesday 2-4, 6-8 at Copeland’s Moon Township, 981 Brodhead Rd. where prayers will be recited on Thursday at 1:00 PM followed by Mass at St. Catherine of Siena at 1:30 PM. Father Frank Kurimsky, celebrant. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations may be made to your favorite charity.
