Lois A. (Menard) Ivol

Lois A. (Menard) Ivol, passed peacefully on Monday, December 31, 2018, supported by her family at Family Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mt Lebanon.  She was 88. Lois was born in Farmland, Indiana on November 3, 1930, one of three daughters to the late Cyril and Edith (Haynes) Menard. Lois married the love of her life and high school sweetheart from Dormont High School, Donald J. Ivol on November 24, 1951. Don preceded her in death on August 31, 1983. She was also preceded by her parents and her sisters, Betty June Gibellino and Jane Clark. Beloved mother of Donna (Alan) Sanford of Moon Township, Richard (Stacey) Ivol of Monaca, Donald (Robin) Ivol, Jr. of Bethel Park, Stephen (Kim) Ivol of Weirton, WV and William (Gemma) Ivol of Swedesboro, NJ; cherished “Gram” of Stacey, Caitlin, Michael, Allie, Riley, Stephanie, Glen and Morgan. Lois was a long-time resident of Moon Township and a faithful member of St. Margaret Mary Church and their Prayer Line. She worked many years for the Joseph Horne’s Company in the Credit Department, retiring in 1992. Lois was an avid reader and Pittsburgh Pirate Fan. She enjoyed taking boat cruises on our many rivers. But Lois’s greatest love was for her family and especially her adored grandchildren. A Memorial Visitation will be held at Copeland’s Moon Township, 981 Brodhead Rd. on Friday (Jan. 4) from 6-9 PM.  A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Jan. 5, at St. Margaret Mary Church at 9:30 AM. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. The Ivol family wants to thank Family Hospice Inpatient Unit for their kind and loving care.
