Kristine Alison Khan

August 15, 1952 - September 10, 2017

Loving wife of 43 years to Shakil; mother of Julianna Marie, Nicholas Evan, (Margaret), and Rachel Olivia of Pittsburgh, PA. 

Kristine, born in Chicago, IL on August 15, 1952, passed away peacefully at her home in Pittsburgh surrounded by her family on September 10, 2017 after a decade-long battle with cancer. 

She was preceded in death by her parents Alex and Ruth Schoening. Her siblings reside in Chicago, IL; Vicki Kozlowski (Walter), Thomas Schoening (Ann), Suzanne Hester (John), and David Schoening along with many nieces and nephews.

Kristine will be remembered most for her love of her children along with her family and friends with whom she was very close. Never missing an occasion, Kristine took great pride in having her home reflect the seasons, events, and holidays and created a special place for her family to call home. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10AM at Saint James Catholic Church in Sewickley, PA with visitation beginning at Saint James at 9AM.
