Kathleen G. (Appleton) Bottorff, a quiet, thoughtful, patient person, passed away peacefully at Good Samaritan Hospice House on Thursday, December 20, 2018, at the age of 78. Kathleen was a resident of Coraopolis, formerly of Moon Township. She was born in Pickering, Ontario, Canada on July 10, 1940, one of three children to the late Harry and Elsie (Cowx) Appleton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Dwayne Bottorff and her brother, Marvin Appleton. Loving mother of Douglas Bottorff of Burgettstown; cherished grandmother of Anthony (Angela), Corey (Janine) and Joshua Bottorff; proud great grandmother of Adalyn Grace and Tony Jr. Kathleen was a teller for PNC Bank at both the Moon Township and Coraopolis Branch and had worked for Eger Eye Group, K-Mart, W.T. Grant, Eat ‘n Park-Moon Township and Cash Market. She loved her grandchildren, was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing. She quoted: “Everyone should try it once.” Memorial Visitation on Saturday December 29 from 1 PM until time of Memorial Service at 2 PM at Copeland’s Coraopolis, 867 Fifth Ave. The Bottorff Family is grateful for the loving care of Good Samaritan Hospice. To eradicate cancer, family suggests donations in her name to the American Cancer Society.
