Joseph Zitko, age 88, of Moon Township, lived life to the fullest as a part of the Verland Family since 1993. Born on August 8, 1928, he was one of six children born to the late Jakob and Frances (Bogretary) Zitko. Brother of Jakob, Frank, Sylvia, Edward and Frances. Joseph experienced living in the safe and caring environment of a group home. Verland life kept him busy. He loved the outdoors especially the fresh air, going to the park, feeding the ducks, always up for a trip to the mall or a country ride, just generally loved to go.  “Cute as a button”, he was a man who never left home without one of his hats. He will be greatly missed by his caregivers who were his family along with his roommates. Visitation Monday 10 AM until time of Blessing Service at 12 Noon. Father Frank Kurimsky will officiate. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Verland Foundation.
