John Allen (Jack) Irwin age, 91, passed away August 10, 2019 at the Masonic Village of Sewickley. He was born in Pittsburgh on July 11, 1928 to the late Margaret Frances Donovan Irwin and John Joseph Irwin and graduated from Langley High School in 1947. After graduation he was a member of Air National Guard 146th Fighter Squadron in Pittsburgh Pa. as an apprentice aircraft mechanic until 1951. Jack then became a retail/wholesale milkman, first with Meadow Gold Dairy and then for Turner Dairy, retiring in 1990. He was a Trustee for Glenshaw Presbyterian Church and an avid Steeler Fan attending their four Super Bowl games from 1975 to 1980. He loved airplanes, reading Aviation Weekly all his adult life and observing any new developments over the years. Jack was married to the late Lois Dischner Irwin for 35 years, and the late Agnes R. Edens whom he wed on October 8, 1993 and who recently passed away on March 21, 2019. Jack was predeceased by 2 brothers: James R. Irwin and William K. Irwin. He is survived by a daughter, Michele Lynn Irwin Goldberg of Ft. Lauderdale FL; a stepson, Thomas L Goelz of McKees Rocks; a stepdaughter; Janet (Brian) Goelz Hoffman of Evanston IL; 5 grandchildren [Tara T. Atkinson, Abby Atkinson (Tim) O’Brien, Amy Sarah Mueller (Ted) Propert, Alexandra R. Hoffman and Julia H. Hoffman]; 10 great grandchildren [Connor Weinstein, Quinton Weinstein, Elijah Weinstein, Noah Weinstein, Teagan O’Brien, Cade O’Brien, Keira O’Brien, Sarah Propert, Hannah Propert and Teddy Propert]; nieces Cheryl Irwin Lang, Elaine Irwin Frantz, Constance Lynn Irwin, Carolyn Irwin Holtz and nephew William Irwin. Per his request there will be no visitation. Inurnment will take place in Allegheny Cemetery. Arrangement by Copeland Sewickley Funeral Home, 702 Beaver St.
