John Hiben age 92 of Coraopolis formerly of North Side Pittsburgh passed away Sept. 10, 2017 at the West Hills Health and Rehab. He was born in Pittsburgh Feb. 22, 1925 to the late Susie Basko and John Hiben. John was a WW II Navy Veteran who also served during the Korean War in the United States Air Force, and a member of St. Joseph Church. John was a retired laborer with Dravo Corp. and was a simple man who collected lapel pins from each state. He is survived by his loving Ann Toia Hiben, whom he wed Sept. 13, 1965. Cherished uncle of Keith Steele (Lora), Brenda Farris (Jim) and Maria Prekop; great uncle of Caleb, Jarod, Toni, and Nicole; great great uncle of Ellie.Friends will be received Tuesday 2-6 PM at the Copeland Coraopolis Funeral Home where a Blessing Service will be held Wed. at 9:30AM followed by burial in St. Joseph Church Cemetery.
