Janet Ruth (Lautner) Buchert, age 79, of Coraopolis, formerly of Carrick, was taken to Heaven on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from her earthly home. Born on March 28, 1939 in Pittsburgh, she was one of three to the late Lawrence and Marie Sussan (Mueller) Lautner. Working different shifts, it was by chance that Janet met her husband, George, at the Federal Reserve, was invited to a romantic coffee date and then were married on October 15, 1960. On May 4, 2007, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Buchert, a security guard at the Federal Reserve. They have three cherished sons: Mike, Jim and Tom; one loving granddaughter McKenna; and sister Barbara (the late Bob) Grace and brother Larry (Robin) Lautner. Janet was a graduate of Carrick High School and a member of Sacred Heart R.C. Church in Emsworth where she would volunteer for anything and everything. When asked, Janet would say, “I had a great life”. Janet’s life was loving her family and spoiling her granddaughter as well as helping others. She devoted her time to caregiving of her husband’s elder parents while getting her teenage boys off to school and watching her 5-year-old son. She could balance life, did it with grace, and a happy heart. She was the nicest, kindest person you would ever meet. Visitation Sunday and Monday 2-4, 6-8 at Copeland’s Coraopolis, 867 Fifth Ave. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 10AM at Sacred Heart Church, 154 Orchard Ave., Emsworth PA. Burial will follow in Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations in her name to Sacred Heart Church.
