James Edward Schrott, age 60, passed away peacefully at his home on Neville Island, surrounded by family on Wednesday, May 31, 2017. He was born in Pittsburgh on July 12, 1956, cherished son of Edward Schrott of Neville Island and the late Ruth (Brooks) Schrott. Beloved husband for 37 years to Carol (Rice) Schrott; loving father of Jeffrey Schrott; brother of Debra (Steve) Sullivan of North Carolina; brother-in-law of Ellen (Jules) Kabana of Florida; uncle of Jason, Becky, Nicole, Joseph. James was a life-long resident of Neville Island and graduated from Cornell High School in 1974. He was respected as a supervisor for the Allegheny County Road Department in the North Hills. James enjoyed watching all sports, had formerly played softball and loved to hang at the dog races. Services were private. Arrangements by Copeland’s.
