James Crandall Noyes

James Crandall Noyes, 86 of Moon Township passed on Saturday May 5, 2018. Born November 11, 1931 In Butler, PA son of the late Charles M. and Martha (Crandall) Noyes; Beloved husband to Merian (Salivonchik) Noyes; father of Jeffrey (Rebecca) Noyes of Beaver Falls, PA, David (Maureen) Noyes of Sewickley, PA, Charles (Lea) Noyes of Bonita Springs, Fl and Christopher (Kelly) Noyes of Moon Township, PA; grandfather of Kara (Jacob) Sault, Charles, Alexander (Rebekah), Garrett (Leanne), Clayton, Morgan and James Noyes; Great Grandfather of Maxwell & Calvin Sault; brother of Martha Noyes of Cary, NC; Jim served two tours of duty in Korea in the Navy and was part of the last Naval Patrol Bomber Squadron in Korea and Alaska. Jim enjoyed a long career in Retail Business, enjoyed music, playing the piano and bird watching. He enjoyed reading and playing Lacrosse. Jim graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and a member of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity and a member of the VFW Post 402 and the Mariner\ Marlin Association. Visitation at Copeland’s Moon Township, 981 Brodhead Road on Monday from 5-9 PM where a service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Interment to follow at North Side Cemetery, Butler PA where military honors will be accorded. In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Carnegie Library for the Blind-Prerecorded books section in his memory.
