Garnet Steele Obituary

Garnet B. Steele, 89, of Moon Township, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at Brighton Rehab in Beaver, PA. Garnet was born in Mt. Sterling, KY on May 19, 1930 to the late Levi F. and Milfred (Price) Steele. Garnet married his beloved Pearl Louise (Balonier) Steele on January 16, 1952, and she survives him. Garnet and Pearl had two sons; Steven, and the late Michael. Garnet proudly served as a United States Marine Corporal during the Korean War. Garnet worked for Chevrolet Corporation as a Zone Service Manager when he retired in 1995. During his retirement, Garnet’s fascination with trains transformed into a fully functioning train village that he built in his garage. The family requested that services be private, and interment will be at Sewickley Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Copeland Funeral Home.
