Florence Elma (Hill) Ritchey was a Christian who lived a long and healthy life, passing peacefully on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at West Hills Health and Rehab at the age of 95. Elma, born in Burgettstown on August 18, 1922, was the last surviving child of 8 to the late William and Fannie (McKenna) Hill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 70 years, Gerald L. Ritchey, Sr.; her son Gerald L. Ritchey, Jr. and siblings: Jack Hill, Richard Hill, Hal Hill, Ruth Smith, Irene Cardiman, Lois Rinehart and Mary Verdeber. Beloved mother of Debra Fawley (Bob) of Coraopolis and daughter-in-law Ginny Ritchey of Moon Township; daughter-in-law of Margaret (Heffner) Ritchey age 109 of Butler; devoted grandmother of Brenda Burke (Brian), Amy Walsh (Pat), Joshua Fawley (Jenifer) and Heather Fawley. Also, 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Elma was a devout member of the Coraopolis Church of the Nazarene who lived on Neville Island for 36 + years. A wonderful homemaker, she will be remembered as the matriarch of her family a cherished wife, mother and grandmother who was dearly loved. Visitation Monday 2-4, 7-9 at Copeland’s Moon Township, 981 Brodhead Rd. with further visitation on Tuesday from 10AM until time of service at 11 AM at the Coraopolis Church of the Nazarene, 386 Shafer Rd., Moon Township, PA 15108. Her grandson-in-law will officiate, Rev. Brian Burke. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations in her name to the Coraopolis Church of the Nazarene (address above).
