Eugenia was a Portsmouth beauty, a long time friend of my mother's and my Godmother. She lived a rich and full life. I am sorry she is no longer of this earth.

I am the wife of the late Norman N. McWhinney who just passed away on September 8 of this year. He often talked about Eugenia. He said he used to babysit for Bob and Eugenia. In fact, I believe I have a piece of furniture that may have belong to them that was passed down through the family when they moved.

He was a professor of English at the University of Pittsburgh, and became a professor Emeritus when he retired. He has two sons which would be your cousins, Craig from Denver and Mark from Oklahoma City. I am so sorry that we did not know Eugenia lived close by.
Norm adored her. You have my deepest sympathy's. I would have loved to known her, she must've been a fascinating woman.

Thank you, Michaelene, for your post. I'm Eugenia's oldest and I remember Norman and his brother. His mother Lois was sweet to me too. I'm so sorry to hear Norman has died--and sorry for your loss. It sounds as though he had a distinguished career.

One of my favorite people of all time, one who elicits love and respect and appreciation early on, even without trying. So grateful to have known her. Think of her often. Love to all her lucky family. Wish I could be at her service, put prior commitment.

XOXOXO Leckie
