To the entire family:

I am Kathy Chaffin, from Hookstown...some of you will remember me and my family from the Free Methodist church in Hookstown, back in the 60s and in 1972, I married and left the church. I have often wondered about all of you~ Well, Jack and Marlene, Jackie, Bert, and Bonnie, you were younger I think. I just happened to see this on Facebook.

I am so sad to hear of Marlene's passing. I am sorry for your great loss. Even tho it has been over 45 years since I last saw her, I will always remember what comes to mind every time I think of her, and that is her around 35 years old when she had a group of us kids at her house at Christmastime. We made hard tack candy with different colors and flavors. We rolled it out and cut it, rolled it in powdered sugar and bagged it. What a fun time it was! She, Jack and us kids had a happy day together! This is the memory I want to cherish forever. Thank you for letting me share.
