Donna L. (Rogers) Macaul, age 81, passed peacefully to her Heavenly Home, joining her husband William Macaul and her daughter Wendy Booth, on Friday, May 18, 2018 from Good Samaritan Hospice House of Wexford. Born in Homestead on May 9, 1937, one of two born to the late William and Caroline (Palencar) Rodgers. Beloved and cherished mother of Carrie Jones of Economy Boro; loving grandmother of Brian, Michael and Cody Jones; devoted sister of Gloria Mushinski of Renfrew; also, many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Donna had been a resident of Neville Island since 1959 and she and her husband were owners and operators of the Neville Hotel since 1967. With Donna, God always came first. She was a prayerful woman who was a member of St. Joseph Church, former eucharistic minister and CCD teacher, Christian Mothers, Catholic Daughters of America and driver for FISH. She also was a member of Robin Hill Homemakers, Red Hats, Senior Citizens of both Crescent and Findlay Twp. She was involved as a Democratic Committee Woman for many years. Donna loved to spend time with her grandsons, loved the ocean, traveling and the taste of good food – a real "Foodie". Her hobbies included musical theater, an appreciation of music, dancing, reading, along with quiet time in meditation and prayer. Donna had a quiet unwavering wisdom about her and yet was fun to be around. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Visitation Wednesday (May 23) and Thursday (May 24) 2-4, 6-8 at Copeland`s Coraopolis, 867 Fifth Ave. where prayers of transfer will be recited on Friday (May 25) at 9 AM followed by Mass at 9:30 AM at St. Joseph Church. Father Richard Jones, celebrant. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
