Dail Lee Bosley

Dail Lee Bosley, age 92, of Crescent, PA, for the past 46 years, went to be with His Lord on Wednesday June 5, 2019, at Good Samaritan Hospice, Heritage Valley Beaver. He was born in Alton, WV on April 14, 1927, one of 9 children, born to the late Joseph Dwight Bosley and Valda Luella (Hosaflook) Bosley.

Dail proudly served our country in the US Navy during WWII. He served aboard the USS Hinsdale in the amphibious force in Iwo Jima, where he saw the flag raised, and in Okinawa where he picked up wounded soldiers. He exhibited great initiative, courage and devotion to his country under challenging circumstances. He was honorably discharged while earning various ribbons and medals. He loved sitting outside to watch birds and talk to people walking by. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years, Naomi Ruth Harris Bosley, and 8 siblings. He was the loving father of Roger Dail Bosley (Meridi) of Tonopah, AZ, Adele Marie Berkner (Paul or “Butch”) of Shippensburg, PA, Pamela Dawn Falcione (Anthony) of Farmington, NY, and Timothy Lee Bosley (Lori) of Aliquippa, PA. Grandfather of Shannon, Beth, Kellie, Adina, Carri, Tony, Jason, David, and spouses; great grandfather of 16, and great-great grandfather of 10, and loved brother-in-law to Russel and Billie Harris of Hopewell Twp.

Visitation Friday June 14, 6-9 pm at Copeland’s Moon Township, where Dail’s service will be held on Saturday June 15 at 11 am, Pastor Tony Falcione officiating. Burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dail’s name may be made to The Ladle and Hearth, in care of St. John’s Lutheran Church 1320 Church Street Ambridge PA 15003, www,theladle.org.
