Donald Kelso Aurin

Donald Kelso Aurin, Age 88 of Aliquippa, PA passed away peacefully at The Good Samaritan Hospice facility in Heritage Valley Beaver on Friday, March 8, 2024. Don was born at home in Bellevue, PA. The youngest son of the late Walter and Cecelia Aurin. Beloved husband of 61 years to the late Pauline (Klem) Aurin who preceded him in death in 2020. Loving dad of Cliff and Dale Aurin both of Aliquippa, Tara (Andy) Gottschalk of Monaca and the late Steve Aurin. Don is also survived by his former daughter-in-law T. Denea Aurin and her son Skylar Miller. Grandfather of Clinton, Kyle, Kayla, Steven CODY, Shannon Rae and Kelly. Don was a graduate of Moon High School. Throughout his life, he worked many jobs, including an Elevator Operator at Penn Railroad, an LTV Steel Worker in Aliquippa, PA from Nov 1955 thru May 1986 working in Engine Room, Blast furnaces, Boiler and Modulers House. After retiring, Don was a landscaper for Ben Zupi Landscaping and worked in the Maintenance Departments at Courtyard Marriott Hotel and Robert Morris College both in Moon Twp. Along with his wife Pauline, Don was a longtime member serving at Mooncrest Baptist Church, Coraopolis, PA and New Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, Aliquippa, PA. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing,camping, gardening, woodworking, going to all types of sporting events, riding on old trains and going to car cruises. Don had a special interest in writing poetry for close family and friends marking special occasions or events. He had some of his work published in newspapers, Sparrowgrass Poetry Forum and Treasured Poems of America. Don had a way with words and was a funny jokester person. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 15th at R.D. Copeland Funeral Home, 981 Brodhead Road, Moon Twp. Coraopolis, PA 15108 

From 2-4 and 6-8 pm 

A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, March 16th at 11:00 am

Interment will be PRIVATE. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Don's name can be made to either New Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, Aliquippa, PA or Good Samaritan Hospice of Heritage Valley Beaver.
