William Russell Lottes

William "Russell" Lottes, age 92, a life-long resident of Moon Township, passed away peacefully on Friday surrounded by the love of his family at home. He was born in the famhouse of the McCune Estate, Moon Township on October 4, 1925 to the late William F. and Grace (Marks) Lottes.Beloved husband of Helen E. (Heaton) Lottes, the love of his life, who he married on August 8, 1946, survives him. They have three beautiful children Cheryl Snatchko of Coraopolis, Barbara Kramer of Bridgeville and William R. Lottes II of Aberdeen, MD; four grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; brother of Grace Combs of Sewickley and the late Dorothy Edwards and Harold Lottes. The C. L. McCune Estate on Coraopolis Heights Road was Russ's life since his birth. He was the wise and caring manager of the estate until his retirement on October 5, 1984. Russ was a member of the Coraopolis United Methodist Church, F & AM #674 Blue Lodge, the Scottish Rite, Coraopolis VFW, Five Points Hunt Club and The "Belly" Club. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Visitation Tuesday 1-4 PM at Copeland's Moon Township, 981 Brodhead Rd. where service will be held on Wednesday11:30AM Rev. Tracy Cox Officiating. Burial will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies with Military Honors at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations in his name to Coraopolis United Methodist Church, 1205 Ridge Ave., Coraopolis, PA 15108.
