Virginia D. Gravener, age 89, a Moon resident for 57 years, passed away Friday, November 10, 2017 at Providence Care Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 25, 1928 in Shaler Township to the late Frank and Eleanora (Gable) Schoepflin. Beloved wife of the late Robert Gravener for 61 years. Loving mother of Thomas (Linda) of Patterson Twp., Kenneth (Crystal) of Brownsville, Joyce Bountasas (John) of Weirton, WV, Sally Gravener (Bob Curtis) of Gastonville, Jane Gale (John) of Smoke Rise, GA, Virginia Wolfe (Robert) of Harmony Township. Sister of Joann Boyer (Ray) of Marian County, FL and the late William (the late Rita) Schoepflin of Fox Chapel. Cherished grandmother of seven and great grandmother of eight. Virginia was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church. A member of Ewing Mill Heights Civic Association. Visitation Tuesday 2 PM until time of service at 5 PM at Copeland’s Moon Township, 981 Brodhead Rd. Entombment will be private at Mt. Royal Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Virginia suggested that anyone who wishes to honor her, treat themselves to a good meal with good conversation and laughter.
