Sally Jo (Leone) DeMarco, age 73, of Moon Township, formerly of Monessen, passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Montefiore Hospital. Born on May 31, 1943, she was one of five girls born to the late Alfred and Sara (Jericho) Leone. Richard DeMarco, her beloved husband of 54 years, met in high school, became sweethearts and were married for 54 years. They had two beautiful sons Brian (Melissa) DeMarco of Chicago, IL and Rick (Christine) Demarco of Moon Township and have enlarged their family with five precious grandchildren Sam, Nick, Alicia, Anthony, and Katie. Sally Jo is also survived by four loving sisters Allene Nusida of Monongahela, Lynn (Vern) Williams of Cole Center, Dawn (Joey) Murt of Bell Vernon and Pam Leone of Front Royal, VA; also, many cherished nieces, nephews and great nephews. Sally Jo graduated from Monessen Sr. High in 1961, she faithfully attended St. Joseph Church and enjoyed working in retail at the Paradies Shops at the new airport. Sally Jo’s life was loving her family, especially the grandchildren. She will be greatly missed. Visitation Tuesday 2-4, 6-9 at Copeland’s Moon Township, 981 Brodhead Rd. where prayers will be recited on Wednesday at ll:50 AM followed by Mass at St. Joseph Church at 12:30 PM. Burial will take place later in Mon Valley Cemetery.
