Rose (Trunzo) Maruca, 89 of Florida, formerly of Sewickley, passed on Friday December 1, 2017. Born February 3, 1928 in Sewickley, she was the daughter of the late Natale and Elisa (Vescio) Trunzo. At the age of 4, she moved back to Italy and fell in love with John Maruca. She married her love at the age of 17 in Italy. They made their married life in Sewickley and Florida and were inseparable until his death. Beloved mother of Rosanna Maruca (Jerry) Marek of Bell Acres, Peter (Cathy) Maruca of Harmony Township and the late John Michael Maruca; grandmother of Jeremiah (Cheran) Marek Boynton Beach Fl, Jared (Leigh) Marek of Richmond, VA, Michael (Bethany) Marek of Sewickley and Brandon Maruca of Harmony Township; great grandmother of Abel and Luca Marek; sister of Linda (Carol) Trunzo of San Franscisco, CA and Natale (Susan) Trunzo of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and the late Sara, Jenny and Carlo Trunzo. She spent most of her life in Sewickley, was a member of St. James Church. She loved the beach and enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking, Visitation Copeland’s Sewickley, 702 Beaver St. on Thursday 5-8 PM and Friday 2-4 & 6-9 PM, Prayers of Transfer 9:30 AM Saturday followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. James Church. Interment St. James Cemetery.
