Richard "Dick" Bruce Lohnes, Sr., age 83, of Glenfield, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Rosewood of the Ohio Valley. Dick was born in Glenfield on April 25, 1934, one of three to the late William and Helen (Sebolt) Lohnes. In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by his former spouse, Jacque, his children: Diane Wigton and Don Lohnes, his siblings: Jean Merriman and William Lohnes. Beloved father of Richard (Lisa) Lohnes, Jr. of Ambridge and Denise (John) Trapizona of Aleppo Township; father-in-law of Jim Wigton of Sewickley; cherished grandfather "Pap" of 10 and great grandfather of 3. Dick, a Master Carpenter, had worked over 40 years at Schurman’s (custom build kitchens, cabinets and bathrooms). He proudly served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Navy. A real "Bucco Fan", he was avid Pirate and Steelers aficionado. Dick had a dry sense of humor, was calm and quiet, a private individual that enjoyed his solitude. He will be missed deeply by his family and friends. Visitation Thursday (December 21) from 3-7 PM followed by a brief service and Military Honors at Copeland’s Sewickley, 702 Beaver St. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to Disabled American Veterans.
