Richard A. Greenhouse, age 90, of Economy Boro since 1997, formerly of Bell Acres and Sewickley, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Heritage Valley Sewickley. He was born in Sewickley on July 7, 1926 to the late Rocco and Louise (Fazio) Policari. On January 12, 1989, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 43 years, Anne (Maruca) Greenhouse. Loving father of Ricki A. (Joseph) Molchen, Richard Michael (Bonnie) Greenhouse, Thomas D. (Karen) Greenhouse, Michele A. (Michael) Kohar and Louise C. (Douglas) Skinner; cherished grandfather of Mark F. (Chris) Meade, William "Mac" (Haley)Greenhouse, Richard A. (Sabrina) Greenhouse II, T.D. Greenhouse, Michael R. (Leigh) Greenhouse, Virginia Anne, Sarah E. and Michael J. Kohar and Katherine D. Skinner; also 9 great grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by his two sisters and two great grandchildren. Richard proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was active in the Real Estate and Appraisal Business. He was a member of St. James Church. Visitation Monday and Tuesday 2-4, 6-8 at Copeland’s Coraopolis, 867 fifth Ave. where prayers will be recited on Wednesday at 9:15 AM followed by Mass at 10 AM at St. James Church. Father Thomas J. Burke, celebrant. Burial will take place at Sewickley Cemetery Graveside with full military honors. Family welcomes flowers or if desired, because of Richard’s love for animals, donations may be made in his name to a Humane Society of your choice.
