Welcome to the memorial page for

Richard Christy DiCicco

January 22, 1942 ~ September 25, 2016 (age 74) 74 Years Old

Richard Christy DiCicco, 74, of Hendersonville, NC and formerly of Coraopolis, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday September 25, 2016.

Richard is the son of the late Italo "Leo" DiCicco  and Elsa DeChellis DiCicco. He is survived by Patricia Anne DiCicco the mother of his three children, Elsa DiCicco Snyder of Canastota, NY (her husband Eric Snyder, their two children Kyle and Mackenzie Snyder), Christy Richard DiCicco of Houston, TX , John Paul DiCicco of Cicero, NY (his wife Julia DiCicco and their son Bryce DiCicco). His sister Jayne DiCicco Keffer, her late husband John Keffer, their two children Daniel Keffer and Christina Keffer Anderson, his brother Robert DiCicco his wife Emily DiCicco their three children, Kell DiCicco Bolton, Lisa DiCicco Filippello and Jessica DiCicco Ferrill.

Richard was born on January 22, 1942 in Coraopolis, PA to Italo and Elsa DiCicco.

He attended Coraopolis Senior High School, upon graduation, he went on to Gannon University in Erie, PA and finally on to West Virginia University where he earned a Masters degree in business.

His career started in the late 1960's where he worked for Alcoa. His career continued and he went on to do business in Saudi Arabia and other Middle Eastern countries. It wasn't until the mid 1980's that he decided to start his own business in fiberglass and plastics.

He was the owner and operator of several businesses, including Northern Plastics in East Syracuse, NY and Chompers deli in Baldwinsville, NY.

Most recently he was a dealer of fine auto parts and ran a successful business called Ace Automotive Parts in Hendersonville, NC.

He had a passion for classic cars and would often travel to car shows to showcase his most prized possession, a black 1966 Corvette Stingray. He was a member of the Antique Car Club of Hendersonville and loved to "tinker" with the old cars.

He was generous, quick witted and at times, stubborn. Some would say that's the Italian in him! He touched the lives of many in his short 74 years. May his love and laughter live on in his memory.

Calling hours are scheduled for Friday, September 30, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Copeland Funeral Home in Coraopolis, PA.
