I have so many happy memories of my Uncle Ray. He went above and beyond what a godfather should be. When I think about him, the first word that comes to mind is family. Uncle Ray loved his family more than anything in this world. He and Aunt Frances always attended every family gathering -- dinners, birthdays, anniversaries, plays and shows - for everyone!!! He loved his family...he loved his wife.. he loved his children and grandchildren/great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was devoted to his wife of 66 years.. and to all of us. His love for us showed in his day-to-day life.. he lived each day showing us the dedication he had for family. I don't ever remember a time that I saw him angry or frustrated. He was pretty happy being who he was. I remember a few surprises that came my way from this dear uncle of mine...a beautiful fur coat with a matching muff --a long awaited farkleberry tart--and a box of rigatoni wrapped up for Christmas. He always knew how to light up the eyes of this (once) little girl--however, the best gifts that he gave to me was his love and his time. I can't even imagine my life without him -- I am a better person for having him in my life. He will be missed more than words can say.

In 66 years I may have seen Uncle Ray upset 3 or 4 times. He was always even handed, steady and supportive unless we kids were doing something mean, illegal or dangerous, and even then his manner always showed love and concern for helping us to do better. Love and sympathies to Aunt Frances, Eugene and Patty, and all the family. We share your loss and will miss him and are thankful for having had him in our lives.
