Mary E. (Murray) Alexander, age 90, a life-long resident of Coraopolis, passed away on Monday, July 10, 2017 at Manor Care, Greentree. She was born in Indiana, PA on September 15, 1926 to the late Joseph and Hattie Mae (Stone) Murray. Beloved mother of Kurt Alexander; loving grandmother of Randy (Sarah) and Angela Alexander; sister of the late Frances Harvey and Don Murray. Mary, a choir member, was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Coraopolis. At the Coraopolis Towers, she was always driving others to get groceries or to doctor’s appointment and was active as Treasurer in their CITRO Group. Mary began after WWII to work as a secretary first at McCreary Tire, then Prudential and last at Dr. Rankin’s office in Pittsburgh. Her past time was knitting and crocheting, especially afghans and baby blankets. She was an avid Steeler fan. Visitation Friday 2-4, 6-8 at Copeland’s Coraopolis, 867 Fifth Ave. where service will be held on Saturday at 10 AM. Family suggests donations if desired in her name to First Baptist Church of Coraopolis.
