Margaret M. (Ostapchenko) Oberleitner, 84 a lifelong resident of Coraopolis passed on Sunday February 18, 2018. Born January 11, 1934 in Coraopolis, daughter of the late Alex and Anna (Mihal) Ostapchenko; beloved wife of 62 years of the late Robert J. Oberleitner; Loving mother of Robert M. (Jill) Oberleitner of Moon Township, James (Diane) Oberleitner of Coraopolis and Valerie (Ken) Brandy of Finley Township, and a baby, the late Robert E. Oberleitner; beloved grandmother of Matthew & Ryan Oberleitner, Alyssa & Zachary Brandy, and James Oberleitner Jr.; Step-grandmother of Nicholas & Jared Scheib and Dennis Cooper; sister of Dorothy Zimmerman and George Ostapchenko and the late John, Alex, Joseph, Albert and Frank Ostapchenko; she also had many nieces and nephews that she cared for. She was a Coraopolis High School graduate and a member of St. Joseph’s Church where she was involved with the Christian Mothers and Catholic Daughters. Her family always came first and she loved talking on the phone to her many relatives. She loved playing bingo, bowling and rollerskating until she became legally blind and was unable to do the things she loved. Viewing Copeland’s 867 Fifth Ave., Coraopolis on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Thursday Prayers of Transfer 9:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM in St. Joseph’s Church, Coraopolis. Interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Moon Township. In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorial contributions be made to the family or to the Blind and Vision Rehabilitation Services of Pittsburgh in Margaret’s memory.
