Lori Lynn Hiney Johnston died unexpectedly at home on Saturday, July 1, 2017 with her husband David and nephew Luke Naylor at her side. She is survived by her loving husband of 16 years, David L. Johnston, her beloved parents Alan and Gail Hiney. She is also survived by loving sister Lisa Naylor, her cherished nephews Christoff Jonathan Naylor and Luke Harrison Naylor, cherished niece Anna Mellett; several beloved aunts and uncles and cousins and her special brother-in-law and sister-in-law. Lori also leaves behind her so loved dogs Spencer, Inga & Zoe. She graduated from Moon Area High School in 1980 and received a BA from Penn State University. In addition, she had an associate degree as a Registered Nurse and Physical Therapy Assistant  from CCAC. Lori had a great love for outdoors. She participated in many high school sports and later completed several marathons, ultramarathons and triathalons. She was a member of the Pittsburgh Triathlon Club. Lori was an industrious working employee at the Verland Foundation and spent the last 15 years working in outpatient physical therapy at Ohio Valley Hospital. Her sense of humor, positive attitude and warm heart created many life-long cherished friendships. Lori had a unique personality and her own style. She will be greatly missed  but never forgotten by those whose lives she touched. Visitation Friday 2-4, 6-9 at Copeland’s Moon Township, 981 Brodhead Rd. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday at 3 PM at her residence, 3671 Potato Garden Rd., Imperial, PA 15126. Rev. Douglas Marshall will officiate. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations in her name to Hancock County Animal Shelter, 715 Gas Valley Rd., New Cumberland, WV 26047, 304-287-4102 (former home of her beloved Zoe).
