Kimberly A. (Esia) Bonfanti was an incredible, strong, and dedicated mother and nurse, taken from her earthly life on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at the age of 60. She was a lifelong resident of Moon Township, attending Sewickley Valley Hospital School of Nursing and, in 1978, beginning her life's work in Labor and Delivery. She later completed her BS in Nursing at Pennsylvania State University. Kim found joy in every day, selflessly and tirelessly caring for others. Beloved by every patient and colleague, many of whom were also her dear friends, she had a unique ability to handle even the toughest situations with ease. Her life was meaningful and fulfilling, and while she was taken too early, she was proud of the mark she left on the world. Kim is survived by her daughter Erika (Austin, TX), her son Garrett (Moon Township); her three sisters Deborah Esia, Lori Bradford, and Sue Faiola; and her mother Dorothy (Persin) Esia; and joins her father Joseph Esia. She has requested no visitation, but a celebration of life will be held for her friends and family at a later date.
