Julie Buscher of Sewickley, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on December 31, 2016. Julie was born on April 2, 1945 to Edward and Shirley Cass of Westville, Indiana. Beloved wife of John Buscher, deceased, and mother to Cass Buscher, deceased; she is survived by her son, John Buscher, and brother, Peter Cass. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Rhea Flanagan and grandchildren, Aidan and Noreen Buscher.

Julie moved to Sewickley in 1987. She was actively involved in the community having served on the Sewickley Borough Council, served as Director to Union Aid, Manager of the Edgeworth Club and founded her own business, Applazz Applazz.

She was an avid gardener, reader and bridge player. She was a formidable paddle tennis player. In the last few years of her life she took the opportunity to travel the world with her close friends before her health obliged her to move to the Masonic Villages of Sewickley. Her loss is profoundly felt and she will be deeply missed by family and friends.

Her family will be hosting a memorial gathering on Saturday, February 11, 2017 to be held at the Assembly Hall  from 1 PM - 3 PM at Masonic Village at Sewickley, 2000 Masonic Driver, Sewickley, PA 15143. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, that well wishers consider making a donation in Julie’s name to the Hydrocephalus Association (http://www.hydroassoc.org).
