Judith E. (Zeigler) Erno, age 64, of Sewickley, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at UPMC Mercy, after a short illness. She was born in Ellwood City on July 1, 1953 to the late Boyd Anthony and Patricia (Meneice) Zeigler Hellhake Bisgaard. Beloved wife of Gerald “Jerry” Erno who she married on November 17, 1995; loving step-mother of Carole Erno of Key Port, NJ and Dan Erno of Marietta, GA; cherished step-grandmother of Amanda and Natalie Erno; sister of Brad Zeigler of Rockhill, SC; step-sister of Dan Hellhake of Moon Township, Debra Good of Elkhart, IN and Joseph Hellhake of Jacksonville, FL.; niece of Judy Dillon (Jim); beloved aunt of 6 nieces and nephews; and last but not LEAST, her beloved dachshunds, Charlie and the late Porky. Judi was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Ellwood City, attended Broward Community College and had taken classes at the Pittsburgh Art Institute. Her career as a chef took many facets. She had been co—owner of Garbo’s in Sewickley. She was recognized for her organizational skills and food preparation, and hired as manager for both Olive Garden and Red Lobsters, opening their new restaurants from here, all the way to Philadelphia. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church where she recently cooked for the Bishop. Judi was owner of Urban Baroque Jewelry and Accessories making jewelry and metal works.  She also cooked, created menus, developed recipes (many of which are published in her cookbooks) for the Christy House. She coordinated the fashion show for St. James Women's Guild She volunteered and was on the planning committee for Relay for Life. Judi was an animal lover hosted a “Pooch Birthday Party”, full cookout and donated proceeds to her well-loved Animal Friends.  “What she did in the community was endless and she gave her all. What a friend, and a loved one.” Visitation Thursday 2-4, 6-8 at Copeland’s Sewickley, 702 Beaver St. Please meet at church on Friday for Mass at 10 AM at St. Mary’s Church, 444 Glenfield Rd., Sewickley, PA 15143. Father David Jastrab, celebrant. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations in her name to either Relay for Life or Animal Friends. The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses of UPMC Mercy Hospital ICU Unit for their loving care and support during her recent illness.
